Fat Content’s Skin of the Teeth written by Anna Beecher, directed by Rachel Lincoln, performed by Daniel Holme
Fat Content returns to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe with award-winning poet/playwright Anna Beecher’s searing adaptation of Brothers Grimm folktale The Boy Who Went Forth To Learn To Shudder. Skin of the Teeth is a boldly physical one-man show about a young man’s surreal mission to feel fear. It takes an unflinching look at the manipulation of vulnerable young men.
Nicholas, an isolated 19 year-old, spends his days working behind a supermarket bakery counter. After a violent accident, he accepts the help of manipulative stranger and is propelled into a perilous criminal world. The more traumatic his reality becomes the deeper we delve into his vivid imagination as he battles to overcome fearlessness and gain acceptance.
